Built From the Inside
Scott James spent more than two decades inside college football programs, not watching the process from the outside but running it. He has built defenses that competed for national championships, rebuilt programs that had lost their way, and recruited nationally across every level of the NCAA.
What that experience produced is not a list of wins. It is an understanding of what coaches are actually looking for, what families consistently get wrong, and where the gap between the two lives.
Scott founded Anderson James Performance because that gap is fixable. Families who come in informed, honest about where their athlete fits, and clear on what the process actually requires, come out ahead. That is what this work is about.

Fifteen minutes. No agenda, no pitch. We talk about where your athlete is, what the family is experiencing, and what the process looks like from here. You leave with clarity on whether working together makes sense.
Do families have to commit to anything after the call?
No. The call is a conversation, nothing more. If it makes sense to continue, we talk through what that looks like. If it does not, you leave with more clarity than you came in with.
What if my athlete is already a junior or senior, is it too late?
No. The timeline is different but the work is not. Juniors and seniors have less runway, which makes honest assessment and clear direction more important, not less.
Is this only for football?
While Scott's background is in college football, AJP works with athletes across sports and competitive levels. The process, fit over prestige, honest assessment, clear next steps, applies regardless of the sport.
What do you provide as guidance through the process?
After a Foundational Evaluation, each student receives an individual playbook built around their specific situation, timeline, and goals. We have also licensed PlayNextLevel, a recruiting management platform that keeps communication, school tracking, and the full process organized in one place.
